The Allegheny Mountain Dulcimer Players
"Heart Of The Alleghenies Folk Music Festival"

Spend a weekend jamming, learning, listening, and dancing in a college setting at our new location at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in Northwestern Pennsylvania.

With the help of family, friends, the Ischua Valley Dulcimer Club, and many great musicians, we founded the Heart Of The Alleghenies Folk Music Festival. Our wonderful dream came true with our first festival in 2004, at Houghton College. We used the same model as the Cook Forest Dulcimer Gathering, Juniata Folk College, and Greenwood Furnace Folk Gathering, which combine workshops, jamming, concerts, and open stage. The Heart of the Alleghenies Folk Music Festival also added a strong contra element.

It is the mission of The Allegheny Mountain Dulcimer Players and the Heart of the Alleghenies Folk Music Festival to bring together young and old, beginners and experienced, musicians and audiences and dancers, to play old time fiddle tunes, Bluegrass, Gospel, Country, Folk and Contra Dance music in a spirit of friendship, hospitality, and learning.

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!
